Honey Quilt

$3,500.00
sold out

The Honey Quilt is made with a variety of linen fabrics that were dyed throughout the warm months of 2025 in my garden side studio.

In addition to only using home grown and locally foraged dye stuffs, the yellows, ambers and warm browns in this quilt were achieved without the use of synthesized alum metal salt mordants. Instead I used a combination of plant based alum mordant (ground symplocos leaf) and soy milk pretreatment to fix the plant based color to the linen fabric. The blacks for this quilt were achieved with a combination of black walnut, indigo and iron.

I chose to use a natural wool batting for the Honey Quilt. The high loft of the batting in combination with the hand quilted design creates a beautiful visual and physical texture. This quilt is sumptuously cozy and endlessly cuddlable.

Dimensions: 76in X 88in

Note: Natural wool batting is untreated by chemical stabilizers so the honey quilt will require hand washing when the time comes, but if were being honest, it best for the longevity of any quilt to be hand washed and air dried.
